Update Citrix Workspace App

    Citrix Workspace app, which is required to connect to the virtual workspace, must be available in a current version. Some installations of Citrix Workspace app update themselves automatically, other installations must be initiated manually for the update. If neither is possible, the latest version must be reinstalled.

    ➡ Important: This is the locally installed Citrix Workspace app on your computer, notebook or NUC. Not the one in the virtual workspace.

    Windows
    Update Citrix Workspace app (trigger manually in the app)
    • Open the taskbar: Click on the arrow symbol (^) at the bottom right to display hidden icons.
    • Find Citrix icon: Right-click on the blue Citrix icon (blue dot with white circles inside).
    • Check update: Select "Check for Updates" from the context menu.
    If this option is not available, the update is managed by us and you do not need to do anything.

    Check the version of Citrix Workspace app

    • Check update: Select "Advanced settings" from the context menu.
    • The version is visible under Info.
    If this option is not available, the update is managed by us and you do not need to do anything.

    Mac
    Update Citrix Workspace app (trigger manually in the app)
    • Open Citrix app: Open Citrix Workspace app from the Applications folder or via Spotlight search.
    • Find the Citrix icon in the menu bar: Click on the Citrix icon (blue dot with white circles) in the top menu bar.
    • Check update: Select "Check for Updates..." from the drop-down menu.

    Check the version of Citrix Workspace app
    • Open the menu bar: Click on the Citrix icon (blue dot with white circles inside) in the top right of the menu bar.
    • Open Citrix app: Select "Open Citrix Workspace" in the menu or click on the app icon in the dock.
    • Show version: In the top menu bar, click "Citrix Workspace app" > "About Citrix Workspace app".
    • The current version number is displayed in the window that appears.
